On Wednesday, December 1, 2010, Scotiabank came to 176 Cherry Street to enjoy an afternoon of fun, laughs, and team building with Xpeerience Group. Scotiabank took part in one of our new team building programs called Survivor. Scotiabank was a very energetic competitive group, whom Vanessa and Laura had a lot of fun working with. All 25 participants were very engaged in the activities and eager to debrief key learning points. Team 3 (Pink) worked the best as a team, and was always encouraging of their team members. As a result of their endless effort and spirit, team 3 took home the immunity challenge.

Survivor is one of Xpeerience Groups newest programs, offered for the first time in winter 2010. It is a highly energetic event with 6 key team building activities, interspersed with mini games and surprise challenges. Teams are awarded points for every activity, game or challenge, both for winning and for performing well as a team. Effort, teamwork and spirit are still very much rewarded throughout the event. This fast paced event is guaranteed to keep the energy high and ensures all participants walk away with key learning points, which they can bring back to the office.

Debriefing the days activities is very important, in order to make the most of your team building program, and encourage participants to think out of the box. Facilitators encourage everyone to draw parallels between the activities and their everyday work or personal lives. Sure your day with Xpeerience Group will be filled with fun, but all of the planned activities have a purpose. Programs are designed to include both physical and intellectual components which allow different members take on a leadership position in the activities they feel most comfortable with. Teams must also all work together to be able to achieve the task at hand. Goals are always more easily achieved with the help of others.
