On Tuesday, June 14th 2011, a small group of Cisco employees joined Xpeerience Group for an on-site ultimate experience. The group kicked off their day with a highly competitive and intense game of Huckle Buckle, which ended with the two remaining teams of guys doing a face off of “nose-to-nose” to take home the “Huckle Buckle bragging rights”! The laughter carried over into the next big group activity which consisted of a cheer-off. The group was split into four teams and each team came up with their own fun team name and cheer. The creativity from these employees was evident in this activity as the teams were named: Team Jodi (named after the boss who was not a member of the team…), Ball Breakers, Team Triple C and Team Higgado Biggado. There was much laughter in the cheer off as cheers were presented with great enthusiasm – some teams even went to the extent to include dance moves!

The competitive and energetic crowd then moved onto the day’s athletic and intellectual activities. In some of our more physical activities, teams took to the podium and jousted each other on the human joust, as well as raced each other through our giant inflatable obstacle course. In a mentally stimulating activity, frustrations were overcome as teams learned to work together to lower a helium pole to the ground. Lastly, but not least, the dust was stirred on the beach courts as everyone participated in some intense games of King’s Court and Elimination Dodgeball.

In between activities the groups partook in some small group games. Some of these games required individuals to step out of their comfort zones and share stories with the group. Such a game was “two truths and a lie”, where interesting facts were learned about colleagues. For instance, one person’s favourite song is about a watermelon…who would have guessed?

It was a pleasure to work with such a highly energetic, friendly, and competitive group and we look forward to working with Cisco Systems in the future!
