Mattamy Homes

A beautiful day greeted Mattamy Homes as they joined us on Friday, June 10th 2011 for their company’s annual “Fun Day”. About 400 strong, it was easy to sense the excitement and team spirit that the Mattamy Homes employees brought to us.

For over 4 hours there was no shortage of group activities to do. Employees who perhaps doubted their skill at the archery game were met with some refreshing inspiration: the targets were pictures of their Mattamy bosses! Cheers of support could be heard from the rock wall as coworkers encouraged each other in the race to the top. There was lots of healthy competition—and laughter—in the human foosball games, and team members enjoyed a number of fun-filled volleyball matches. The inflatable obstacle course proved to be a greater challenge than initially thought—as did the mine field—but both also proved to be a great deal of fun. In addition to many physical activities that the Mattamy team got to participate in, employees had several opportunities to exercise their minds as well; Their communication and group work skills were tested in Human Blackjack, Blind Line Up and Zap, while Zoom encouraged teams to engage in some creative storytelling. Our experience working with Mattamy was filled with joy and laughter as employees from a wide range of Mattamy’s departments (many of whom had never met one another) got to know and trust each other.

Thank you Mattamy and we look forward to seeing you again soon!
